A snapshot sort of Sunday

I thought I’d wrap up my first week of the Ultimate Blog Challenge with snapshots I’ve taken this week! :)

First up, a tiny pot I found in the stack of Terra-cotta pots I washed on Tuesday.  It’s so tiny.  I have no idea what you wold actually grow in this thing. My rubber ducky is quite tiny as well, so they make a friendly pair!

WTF Sprite

This one I like to call ‘WTF Sprite’ as Damara is so amazed by anything fizzy that she will listen intently to your drink until it’s gone. Thankfully she doesn’t try to get to it, like Leon does. He’s really good at tipping cups and glasses and the cats’ water bowl out.

Sarcastic Puss

Damara’s expression after I told her it was only sprite. Unimpressed cat is unimpressed.

Hippo Cat

Damara posing as a hippopotamus in her cat bed. She likes to put her nose right level with the top of the bed and glare at everyone.

New oregano

I was feeling down after Ms. Courgette was plantnapped, so I grabbed a bundle of herb plants at the grocery store.  I picked the one with the biggest, fluffiest oregano there, since I forgot to order oregano seeds and don’t really want to buy more seeds now.

Pea shoot

One of my peas is getting the right idea.

Unexpected life

And the best picture of all, I think. The tiny twig of an apple tree that Ben’s parents gave us last Christmas is still alive and is putting out new leaves. :) He got re-potted today. If that’s not awesome, I don’t know what is! We really thought it was dead, but it wasn’t brittle, so I still had hope.

Sometimes life can throw you some pretty crappy things, butI know things will always work out like they should.

Many thank-yous to everyone who commented on my last post and throughout the week! :) Thanks for sharing your odd thief stories with me, too!

My fingers are crossed! Silly cat.

The apple tree looked dead for the last 5 months, easy, but we still brought him with us when we moved, because I didn’t want to give up on him yet! I’m glad I didn’t!

It’s a lot easier than you’d think — I only started last year. You should give it a go! Thank you for the compliment! *blushes*
