The power of Steve Jobs

While working today, I was trying to get a few tweets out, but twitter kept failing.  I noticed all my seesmic feeds weren’t loading, and I’ve never seen that happen before.  Couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t get anything to load.

It wasn’t until I IMed my manager to mention my twitter problems and she said it was because of Steve Jobs’ passing that it finally clicked.     It’s pretty amazing, I guess. I know he was an amazing businessman, but I didn’t know him personally.  I must confess that I am not an apple user, so I can’t say he actually influenced me much, but I can say wow.  The power this guy had in crossing over was enough to bring a social media giant to its knees.  The earthquake & tsunami in Japan earlier this year didn’t even mange that.

It’s was extraordinary to see how fast the twitter stream about him was moving.

Are any of you apple users? Did you send out a farewell to Steve today?

I don’t know if Steve would’ve approved — any idea on whether he liked FB? XD

No idea, and not likely to find out now am I?
I’m sure he would approve, if it should even generate a sale for apple i’m sure he would approve.

No, I didn’t post any RIP but he was truly and a world changer. It makes me sad that he was only 56, especially because that’s how old my parents are. Fiance was pleased with himself though, as a forum he reads picked his post to be the sticky out of a few others to be the post used. And it got well over a few thousands replies.

I didn’t realize how young he was. Fiance thread ftw.
